Fans to Enjoy Transport Included in their Tickets to Thursday’s NRL Opener and all Eels home games in 2020

Thursday night’s blockbuster NRL season opener between the Parramatta Eels and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs just got even sweeter for fans with the confirmation that travel to and from Parramatta is included in match tickets and Club Memberships for every Eels home game this season.

A near full-house is expected on Thursday night with fans clamouring for the return of the NRL at Bankwest Stadium.

Event-goers will be able to catch the train, bus or other public transport services to and from Parramatta using their event ticket or Club Membership, making public transport an attractive travel option for key events.

In total there are 11 Eels home games scheduled for Bankwest Stadium in 2020, and all of them will include public transport to and from Parramatta.

VenuesLive CEO Daryl Kerry today thanked the NSW Government, its agencies Venues NSW and Transport for NSW, along with the Parramatta Eels, for agreeing to the public transport initiative.

“Bankwest Stadium was built for the fans and we want every part of the event experience to be enjoyable . . . making it easier and more affordable to get to and from the games is a big part of that,” he said.

“The Eels and the Bulldogs game at Bankwest Stadium on Thursday promises to be a spectacular start to the NRL season with a near full-house on the way.”

Bankwest Stadium is a short walk from the Parramatta Transport Interchange in the Parramatta CBD with regular train and bus services running to and from the hub. Additional services will run on event days.

An accessible shuttle bus service for patrons with a disability or mobility impairments will run between Parramatta Interchange and the Stadium on event days. The shuttle will pick up and drop off customers on Argyle Street near the Interchange and on O’Connell Street near the Stadium.
