The stars of international rugby league will descend on Bankwest Stadium this weekend for two days of excitement with the Downer Rugby League World Cup 9s on Friday and Saturday.
Some of the best male and female players will be lighting up the Stadium in 28 games across two days of competition in a can’t-miss rugby league showcase.
To help get you ready for all the excitement of the tournament we’ve put together all the handy info you need to have the best time possible.
Key Timings
Friday:
- 5:15pm – Gates Open
- 6:00pm – Opening Ceremony
- 6:20pm – Games Commence
Saturday:
- 10:30am – Gates Open
- 11:30am – Games Commence
Tournament Draw

Tournament Format
Showcasing rugby league in it’s most action-packed format, the 9s is fast-paced and allows the stars of the game to show off their skills.
Teams will compete in Pools of four across both days, culminating in Semi Finals and the Final for both Men’s and Women’s on Saturday night.
Games are 9-a-side with 9 minute halves and unlimited interchange, adding to the fast-paced action of 9s footy.

Getting to the Stadium
All tickets to the World 9s include travel t0 and from Parramatta on all forms of public transport. Parramatta Transport Interchange is a short walk from Bankwest Stadium.
