Fans to return to Bankwest Stadium from this Friday

The fans will be back cheering at Bankwest Stadium this weekend with more than 600 patrons to be permitted into the venue from Friday, subject to NSW Health guidelines.

Acting Minister for Sport, the Hon. Geoff Lee, confirmed today that the NSW Government would permit up to 50 people in each corporate space at NRL events from this weekend.

“Any sporting venues with separate seating areas will be able to have spectators seated and served food and drink in those spaces,” said the Minister.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the NRL to take advantage of, and part of getting people back to normal life, but still keeping the community as safe as possible.”

Bankwest Stadium will host three NRL games this weekend, beginning with the Parramatta Eels v Penrith Panthers on Friday night.
