Western Sydney is OPEN FOR LUNCH . . . and to kick off a huge summer of outdoor events and world-class dining, CommBank Stadium has been chosen as the venue for a mouth-watering long lunch on Friday 2 December.
Promoted by Destination NSW – the State’s lead agency in support of tourism and events – Western Sydney Long Lunch at CommBank Stadium in Parramatta will feature a menu curated by Australian food icon Matt Moran and entertainment featuring Australia’s hugely popular vocal group Human Nature.
CommBank Stadium, the venue better known for hosting elite athletes and sporting events, will be the home ground for stars of another kind as Sydney’s hospitality royalty become the champions of summer.
On arrival, guests will be treated to an array of live stations showcasing the flavours of multicultural Western Sydney with food and beverages from some of the City of Parramatta’s finest restaurants, including Misc.Parramatta and Julian Cincotta’s Butter – the latter currently looking for new premises in the city.
Guests will then have the opportunity to delight in a wonderful paddock-to-plate experience designed by Western Sydney born and raised, Matt Moran, who is now Culinary Ambassador at CommBank Stadium.
The day will also feature a Motown’s Greatest Hits special by popular Australian band Human Nature.
Western Sydney Long Lunch will coincide with four separate OPEN FOR LUNCH events in Sydney’s CBD.
Four individual event precincts, spanning George Street from Park to Hunter Street, will see the diverse nature of Sydney’s dining scene come to life in a manner never before seen.
Open For Lunch is more than a Friday lunch outing. It promises to be a larger-than-life celebration of what Western Sydney does best: food, entertainment, and bringing people together. Diners will enjoy an amazing lunchtime event for only $65 per person (plus booking fee).
