Sydney FC were crowned Hyundai A-League Champions for a record fifth time after an extra-time thriller at Bankwest Stadium.
Long-serving fullback Rhyan Grant was the hero on the night, netting the only goal of the game in the 100th minute of extra time and confirming Sydney FC as back-to-back champions
The tense Grand Final was the 14th A-League game played at the Stadium since the season restarted in mid-July, and the 5th game in 8 days as the competition completed all of its Finals series fixtures in the one venue.
Bankwest Stadium has become one of the busiest Stadiums in the world in recent months as it has worked to provide a COVIDSafe environment for sporting codes as they resume their seasons.
Since 29 May, Bankwest Stadium has hosted 37 sporting events across the NRL and Hyundai A-League and continues to work closely with codes and clubs on how it can assist in the resumption of sport during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the coming weeks Bankwest Stadium will assist in the completion of the NRL season, with the Stadium set to host a Parramatta Eels home Final in September.
In October and November the Stadium carpark will be home to a unique COVIDSafe event experience with the Disney+ Drive-In Cinema coming to Western Sydney.
