The Bankwest Stadium Precinct will be transformed into an entertainment hub for the community with the announcement that the Disney+ Drive-In is coming to town this spring.
From 22 October until 15 November, the Bankwest Stadium carpark will be home to all your Disney+ favourites from Walt Disney Pictures, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and Twentieth Century Fox.
For six nights a week, the Sydney community will be invited to drive their cars out to Bankwest Stadium and enjoy an evening at the Disney+ Drive-In with their family and friends.
Bankwest Stadium CEO Daryl Kerry said the venue had quickly become part of the fabric of booming Western Sydney and a centre of celebration in the community.
He said the Drive-In concept was an appropriate event in the age of COVID, even though the Stadium had led the way in establishing a COVID-safe protocol for venues this year.
“This is a genuine family event that has a real sense of fun about it in a challenging year for our community,” Mr Kerry said.
“Bankwest Stadium is again showing that it is a unique facility that every person in New South Wales can access and enjoy, whether for sport, entertainment, business, community or cultural events.”
Tickets for the Sydney show will be available via Eventbrite and openaircinemas.com.au/drive-in on Monday 28 September.
Each week the program kicks off with Marvel Mondays, Star Wars Wednesdays, Throwback Thursday, Disney Super Fan Friday, Sing-Along Saturday, and Pixar Sunday. Gates open at 5.30pm every day.
Event-goers can choose between a car of up to 2 people ($45), or a car of 3 people and more ($55), as well as add-on snacks and drinks. Alternatively, guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks (no alcohol) to enjoy in their car.
Bankwest Stadium will become a COVIDSafe place for families and the wider-community to enjoy a night out together this spring.
